The 2022 conference brought 4 days of virtual panel discussions and daily, in-person events in Atlanta that combined beer with opportunities to learn, connect and explore. Beer in Brazil: A Savory, Sensory Exploration with Women in Craft Beer
A Panel discussion of what Craft Beer is and the changes in Brazil. We will speak with Kerrie who recently moved back to the U.S. after doing a doctorial program. She discovered rich history of fruit and nuts developed for medicinal and pleasurable consumption. We will also speak with an up and coming woman in the Craft Beer industry starting as a home brewer and moving into a bigger facility to brew commercially for a Brazilian company.
I'll Have a Beer with my Salad: A Gastronomic introduction to How food and beer intersect."
Beer and food are best when enjoyed together! Two culinary experts will break down the parallels between cooking and brewing; how culinary inspired beers can be created; and the usage of nontraditional ingredients. Additionally, the historical uses of ingredients in beers by indigenous and people of color will be incorporated.
Building a Sustainable Brand
We all like to think we can create a brand but how does one create an authentic brand that can stand out in a saturated market? This session will explore what is needed to build a sustainable brand; how to walk the fine line of being authentic versus going with the trend; and how to ensure that content creators of color are paid their worth. To help viewers build or evolve their brand our moderator, KinkySudz will be awarding 2 or 3 scholarships for a personalized social media consultation with a top branding agency. Black Women and their Invisibility Cloak in Craft Beer
Come and engage in an honest dialogue with black women in the craft beer industry as we discuss ways to increase our visibility and access to opportunity in the craft beer space. How can breweries, craft beer brands, and other people in the craft beer space support and advocate for black women?
Inclusion in Beer: LGBTQIA+ Perspectives
What does it really like being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community within the craft beer industry? What happens when assumptions are made about the gender seen and the way one may be presented? This candid discussion will explore the many intersections within craft beer communities and what we can do to begin to erase negative stigmas and gender biases.
Celebrating Women in Beer: Leaving the Industry Cleaner, Craftier Than They Found It.
This panel of pro-brewers has a LOT to talk about! They'll delve into the "roadmap" for women brewers looking to explore their career options by relocating or being promoted from assistant to head brewer, and the steps it takes to get there. They'll also share ideas about how to scale sustainability and brewery operations, including the beer making process and safety, compliance, certification, and continuous innovation.
Profits & Social Justice: Yes, You Can Have Both!
Did you know that inclusive, equitable, and justice-focused companies are consistently more profitable than those that are not? Placing priority and putting effort towards creating inclusive, safer and more respectful workplaces is not only ethically responsible but fiscally responsible. In light of recent public events highlighting inequities and causes of harm in the beverage community, organizations looking to make a positive change in their company culture are faced with a lot of new challenges, including how to put HR policies into place without an HR team, how to onboard new staff in an equitable way, how to foster environments of positive mental health, and how to build a welcoming service business for community members. There is a way to do all of this, plus put some money back into your business bank account.
New to Brew: Embracing New Experiences in the Craft
This session will feature stories from a variety of different individuals who are beginning a new positions or ventures in the craft beer arena. There are so many innovative thing that can be done in the craft space, and panelists will discuss the experiences that have led them to their newest roles, the new things that they might contribute to that role, and provide advice/insights for other who are trying to find their footing or space in the vast landscape that is craft. There will also be an education component involved, as panelists will be asked to elaborate on the key educational information helped the along the way, or that they encourage others to acquire to ensure a robust, well rounded craft beer community experience.

What does it really mean to leverage partnerships to elevate branding? What is the future of the Social Beer Influencer? This session will focus on the role Influencers play in the beer community and explores how vital it is to cultivate relationships and understand the value that Influencers bring to brewery marketing.
